    Windows 7 genuine validation error: 0x8004FE21


    I am using a DELL laptop for last 3 years with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. Suddenly from last few days I am getting Windows 7 genuine validation error with error code 0x8004FE21. I have gone through the previous threads of this forum (Windows is reporting it isn't genuine, Validation code 0x8004FE21). It didnot help me much as my results were different. Thanks in advance if any one can solve this issue. I have also attached the Diagnostic Report of Microsoft tool.

    See the notes in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/3004394 - it is not advised to uninstall the update if already installed as it may cause other issues.
    MS have since released a new patch designed to resolve the issues caused bythe failed patch..

    Once you've installed KB3024777 there's a good chance that you'll have further problems (it seems many do) - post back with a new MGADiag report, and I'll see what I can do.
