Is It Safe To Install Update KB 3011970?

I received this update tonight and am very unsure about it. From what I have read on the web the first issue of this update on the 9th caused problems. I checked all the installed updates for that day and KB 3011970 is not there. What should I do?

It didn't cause problems, it expired prematurely apparently. They've replaced it. Strangely enough I am not being offered it nor do I have it already installed and I do have Silverlight, which I believe it's for. Mind you I'm 64-bit so that may make a difference. Ex_Brit, thank you for your response and the link to the thread. I read the end as you suggested and it made me feel better about installing the update.

    Have a great weekend!
