    Windows 7 Activation Issues

I have followed the thread from JonathanSuth on this topic. I have also an issue after several years of running Win 7 Prof 64 bit that last week, hte activation screen keeps popping up. Here's what I've done so far in the following order:
    1) attempted to "re-validate" using "slui 3" file. Was successfully validated but issue remains.
    2) Attempted to delete the c:-windows\system32\WAT directory. Invalid access rights.
    3) Ran "CHKDSK C:/R" as admin. No issues.
    4) Ran "SFC /SCANNOW" as admin. No integrity violations. CBS file attached.
    5) Ran the multi command string outlined in JonathanSuth's posting. Scaregnp file attached.
    6) Ran the 5 commands outlined (3 userprofile commands and 2 reg commands) as admin:
No issues with the userprofile commands.
Both "REG /?" & "REG QUERY /?" failed.
    7) Ran the MGADiag Tool: Here are the results:

    What AV are you using?
Please disable real-time scanning/protection and reboot

If the notification has disappeared, re-enable real-time scanning and reboot again

If the notification is still present, first check whether the real-time scanning is still switched off If so, then re-enable it and post the result. If it's turned itself back on then tell me or try again using a different disable option.

    Post back with the results

    AV & Setting Change Results

I am using a combination (and have been for some time) of Norton 360 Premier and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

On both of these applications, I shut down all settings except for the firewall component, then rebooted. After the system came back up, I then made sure all settings in Norton 360 Premier and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware were still turned off except for the firewall (they were still turn off and had not reset on reboot). After four hours, no "Activation" messages. I then turned off on all the settings on Norton 360 Premier and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and rebooted. I confirmed after reboot that Norton 360 Premier and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware setting were all turned on. After nine hours, still no "Activation" messages. I am now at work - will be a long day. Will plan on reporting back again on my return home tonight if the message has resurfaced or not.

As a side bar, this is my wife's computer. She uses a gadget - the std "Clock" (single round face). During this time when the "Activation" messages started, there were two additional things that happened: 1) her screen changed from 100% to 125%; 2) her gadget became so transparent (and off color - more a rose color), you could only see a portion of it. What seemed to fix the gadget issue was to return the screen back to 100% - bazar. However, the "Activation" issue continued after the gadget issue was resolved.

With any "luck" - thanks to your assistance I am hoping to report back tonight that "all remains clear" and there is no activations message once again.

    Thank you.

Well - I guess it is a GOOD thing that you cannot tell that I type with my fingers crossed... eh?!!

Rack one one up for you NoelDP! No "Activation" message after my last boot 19.5 hrs ago! Very much appreciate your guidance.

Other than "experience", was there a smoking gun that I missed somewhere indicating it might be associated with the AV needing to be "reset"?

Nah - MS screwed up a patch last week, and everyone is still recovering from it.

I might even get some sleep next week
