Windows not genuine error, but it is...

So im having to deal with a second PC with this issue now. One I know for a fact is clean of viruses and never been infected. It started one day coming up with the not genuine popup at boot and wants to run the genuine validation stuff or something to that nature. When you open the validation app it says all is good. Tried changing the product key to the key on the bottom and activation was successful again. But it still insists its not genuine.

    Any ideas on this one?

Both of the PC's this issue is on reloading windows isnt an option. Can TRY a "upgrade" repair on one of them if you guys think it will work and not be more broken afterwards.

Yes, with the key on the bottom of the laptop. And yes it will activate without issue again, in system properties it says windows is activated. Ive never had genuine cause issues on a windows 7 machine before except when it comes to my shop with someone used a hacked version, etc.

Please follow this tutorial and post an MGADiag report - then we can see what the problem is.

    https://www.sevenforums.com/windows-updates-activation/234159-windows-genuine-activation-issue-posting-instructions.html

Ignore errors produced when clicking on the Copy button - they simply mean that the tool could not create the backup files for some reason. The data is still copied to the clipboard for pasting to your response.

Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!

Hi guys, I have the exactly same issue as described here: Windows not genuine message popping up, system itself claims it's genuine though, and changing the product key doesn't solve the issue.

I did a some googling which pointed me towards the issue being related to a windows patch (KB3004394).
But it should be resolved with another patch (KB3024777) which got automatically installed on my system as well.
Now both patches seem to be not installed anymore, but the problem persists and I have no idea how to solve it.

I don't wanna hijack this thread for my own problem, at least not without asking before doing so ;-)
So should I open a new thread or post my MGADiag report in here for you to have a look at it?
Any help would be so much appreciated!

    Cheers,
    Chris
