    Here we go...

    I've uploaded a file - bb3ac.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
    Please download and save it.

Right-click on the saved file and select Extract all...
Change the target to C:\ and click on Extract
Close all windows (it would be a good idea to print these instructions!)

Now reboot to the Repair Environment - as soon as the machine restarts, start tapping F8 - this should bring up the Advanced Boot Menu, at the top of which should be the option 'Repair my Computer'
    Pick that
You'll have to log in with your username and password.

Pick the option to use a Command Prompt
    At the prompt type
    DIR C:\bb3ac
hit the enter key - if you get a 'Not Found' error try
    DIR D:\bb3ac
    or
    DIR E:\bb3ac

The drive letter in use when you find the folder will need to be substituted (for<drive>) into the following command...

    XCOPY <drive>:\bb3ac <drive>:\windows\winsxs /y /i /s /v /h

    (e.g. XCOPY P:\wfire P:\windows\winsxs /y /i /s /v /h )

run the command (it should take almost no time) and when the prompt returns, type
    EXIT
and hit the Enter key to exit Command Prompt - reboot to Normal Mode Windows.

Now run another CheckSUR scan, and post the results

I guess the F buttons' functions vary from each manufacturer. I tried the whole bunch of F keys, and all I see is an option to change the boot order and boot devices. So, I used my emergency USB containing the WRE. I gave my password in, and I am allowed to use those recovery options just like we see in the recovery/repair options. But to my surprise, the not found error is all I see even I have exactly. I tried all the names of partitions I have, (4) and it says file not found. Please guide me.

The drive Letters for you to check are C:\ D:\ E:\ F:\ ... the RE ignores existing drive letters to a large extent

Yes, I have substituted all of the 4, C, D, E and F. But the error remains same.

Hmm - let's see what the machine is seeing in the Repair Environment.

In the Repair Environment, run the following commands...

    DISKPART
    LIST DISK
    LIST VOLUME

Note the results, and post them after rebooting to normal windows.

The USB drive on which the RE is stored was assigned the letter x and when I enter those commands, it says following

    Microsoft diskpart v 6.1.7600 C <c> 1999-2008 Microsoft Corportion.

    On computer : MININT 0TBS092

It listed all commands like active etc.. here one by one.
