    Window Updates Big Problem

Reinstall Windows 7 Pro with Windows 7 Pro SP1. After got the basic Windows install and everything, told computer to check on updates. Sorry I asked with about 182 of them. So they started to download and I think about half way through power was lost, computer when into blue screen of death, and then computer restarted and no problems. However, I checked to "View Updates" and noticed there where a lot of updates that where still "Pending". Long store short, did some research in this fourm and found out where all the updates hang out. Was told to stop a service rename folder C:/Windows/SoftwareDistribution to something else, good to go. Wrong! Now windows will not download any updates to my computer.

    HELP!
    Thanks

Told by whom? What service did you stop? Was it wuauserv? If so, how did you stop it? Did you restart the service (or reboot) after renaming SoftwareDistribution?

If you disabled wuauserv you need to re-enable it (Automatic-Delayed Start is default)
