Todays updates failed - Now stuck in a "boot loop?"

This morning my computer did windows update. After the reboot it got to the welcome screen and
the monitor went black. Upon reboot I had one long 3 short beeps. I restart again and am stuck in
a boot up loop of "failure configuring windows updates - Reverting changes - Do not turn off your
    computer.
I also cannot access safe mode. Pulled out video card and started. plugged back in
video card and got to a start up repaire screen. Chose system restore.. While this is attempting restore repairs is there anything else I can try if this fails? My goal is to unistall the updates that were put on this morning.

(EDIT: This system restore from recovery menu sure seems to be taking a long time)

OK - You appear to have both MSE and AVG installed.
You need to decide which you are going to use, and uninstall one or the other.
That will give you a fighting chance of something working properly.

    Then...

Please follow the Windows Update Posting Instructions and post the requested data

If the file is too large (8MB compressed), remove the older CBSPersist cab files until the final file is below the limit - you can always post them separately after zipping them. (the forum doesn't allow the upload of bare CAB files, for a number of reasons)
