Windows 7 Home Premium not Genuine

    Hi everyone,

I have a Dell Inspiron Laptop that appeared to be having hard drive issues, and we needed more space. Like many times before using clonezilla we cloned it over to a new disk went through and everything seemed to be fine. A couple of days later we are getting the Microsoft Genuine Advantage Pops. Windows still shows activated. We have gone through the system a couple of times with chkdsk sfc/ scannow and MGADIAG. There are tampered files that I am guessing were corrupted from the disk issues, but I just am not finding any great solution to repair them, any help would be greatly appreciated.

This may simply be caused by a bad set of Intel Storage Matrix Technology drivers -

    Installing the Intel Drivers
try downloading and installing them from here -
    https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=2101&DwnldID=17882

    (IATA89ENU.exe)

Once complete, please reboot twice, then post another MGADiag report.

Is update KB304394 installed? - if so, uninstall it and reboot, then post a new MGADiag report.

    OK - try this, then...

Please run the following commands in an Elevated Command Prompt

    NET STOP CRYPTSVC
    REN C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CATROOT2 CATROOT2OLD
    NET START CRYPTSVC

once complete, leave the system alone for at least an hour to rebuild the database, then reboot, and run another MGADiag report and post the results.

Note that this may delete your Update History - but all updates will remain installed, and can be viewed in the Installed Updates listing.

    No change
    Back to basics, then...
Please run a full CHKDSK and SFC scan....
Click on Start > All Programs > Accessories
Right-click on the Command Prompt entry
Select Run as Administrator and accept the UAC prompt - the Elevated Command Prompt window should pop up.
    At the Command prompt, type
    CHKDSK C: /R
    and hit the Enter key.
You will be told that the drive is locked, and the CHKDSK will run at the next boot - hit the Y key, and then reboot.
The CHKDSK will take a few hours depending on the size of the drive, so be patient!
After the CHKDSK has run, Windows should boot normally (possibly after a second auto-reboot) - then run the SFC.

SFC -System File Checker - Instructions
Click on Start > All Programs > Accessories
Right-click on the Command Prompt entry
Select Run as Administrator and accept the UAC prompt - the Elevated Command Prompt window should pop up.
    At the Command prompt, type
    SFC /SCANNOW
    and hit the Enter key
Wait for the scan to finish - make a note of any error messages - and then reboot.

Upload the CBS.log file (compressed, please!) to your reply - also post a new MGADiag report.
