    So I tried to check for updates after copying the contents into the folders from jb6aa and it seemed to work - managed to download around 110 updates, and now it checks for updates without showing the error code 800B0100.

    I ran the CheckSUR tool again just in case the errors you found in the last post were fixed.

    I am totally astonished!
    The CheckSUR is now clear - despite the errors that showed before.
    The only thing that I can think of is that the Update Agent update (to v320) which you probably had to install to get those updates installed, was able to override the errors, clearing them in the process.

    Whatever - good news!
