Hungup on Updates

I downloaded and installed updates that windows said was important,

and I needed to reboot. When I did

as instructed I could not complete post, my machine just hung up.

Fortunately, I had an image of my

machine prior to the updating which I recovered through an Acronis

bootable disc. I repeated the process

and got the same results. Now I'm doing as you ask with hopes of

solving this issue so I can get back to

regular imaging. Thank you.

Please follow the Windows Update Posting Instructions and post the requested data

If the file is too large (8MB compressed), remove the older CBSPersist cab files until the final file is below the limit - you can always post them separately after zipping them. (the forum doesn't allow the upload of bare CAB files, for a number of reasons)

Please also post the C:\Windows\windowsudpate.log file

No - you posted something completely different (I have no idea what, but it's NOT the CBS.log data!

MSE updates flagged in Win 7 updates but not XP Mode updates
I find it odd that when I do a Windows Update in Windows 7, the Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) updates are also found. But if I do a Windows Update in XP Mode, the MSE updates are not found. I don't suppose this is controllable? I'd like the Windows Update to find MSE updates.
