The CheckSUR is now clear.

Try installing the updates from the standalone files - this often works with this error code...

Well.......

I tried a few things....

-the Standalone Installer searched and searched for updates. Maybe 15 minutes. So, I aborted.

-I reviewed the 2 links above and the 1st is for Win 8.1 OS, so I skipped anything else with that for now. (screenshot 4)

-Then had epiphany to disable MSE (remembering what Avast did). So, I then tried Standalone on each file from 2nd link above, with somewhat positive results (see screenshots).

-file 1/2 reported it was already installed on computer. (screenshot 2)
-file 2/2 reported it was not applicable to this computer. (screenshot 1)

-I then had another epiphany, why not just hide the damn updates! So, I went back to WU, prepared to hide the 2 stubborn updates, then stopped myself and thought WWND(what would Noel do)? I figured I should ask you 1st. So, I prepared this reply post with my screenshots. (as I write this I flipped back to the WU open window and.....see screenshot 3! I swear I didn't actually hide them. They just removed themselves from pending updates. I even checked the restore hidden updates. not there. (Ghost in the machine) I checked for WU's 2x and no new updates. Will try again after this post and reboot and check for updates and post back.

I think we got it! FINALLY!!!!!

One other thing.....see screenshot 5. Anything look abnormal?

Wow!
That's the second time that stuff just seems to have fixed itself in the past few weeks!
Keep an eye out in case these updates make a re-appearance.

The Features list looks fine to me - or at least it's the same as mine.

Good luck!

I JUMPED THE GUN!

The 2 updates apparently WE'RE hidden

after reboot, checked for updates, they came back, failed to install.

What about just hiding them permanently based on Standalone results?
Will they keep returning?

I think since 3032359 says it's installed it can be hidden safely enough.

Try the 'proper' download for the other one - from here...
