Windows Updates Error Code's 8024000E & C80003FA

Hi,

I keep getting Windows Update Error Code's 8024000E & C80003FA whenever I search for new updates. Error code 8024000E is the most common. This has been an ongoing problems for several months now. I have run SURT multiple times as well as SFC and the FixIt tool. I've tried to re-register the Windows dll's following the instructions here: How do I reset Windows Update components? and I've tried disabling my Norton anti-virus software and done a full system scan all to no avail.

CBS logs are attached as requested.

Any advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Regards

Jon

First - please run an MGADiag report (there are two possible causes of this, and I'd like to try and work out a way to tell the difference before trying to fix it!

I need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool
(download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.

Now that's very interesting- the proposed fix from MS is to install the Intel Rapid Storage Drivers - problems with these drivers usually show a distinct pattern in the MGADiag report. That pattern is totally missing here, and the report is clear as a bell.

So - let's have a look and see if the driver install actually works

OK - try this one instead...

This may simply be caused by a bad set of Intel Storage Matrix Technology drivers -

Installing the Intel Drivers
try downloading and installing them from here -
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=2101&DwnldID=17882

(IATA89ENU.exe)

Once complete, please reboot twice, then post another MGADiag report.
