Decommissioned OEM keys

I had the same kind of question about a license key from a certain seller with 100%-positive feedback. He is selling OEM keys from "decommissioned" machines, and I do plan to use a motherboard with that same branding but I have a retail upgrade disk I plan to use since I do not have an OEM disk. I explained all of that to the seller and he said it will work, and I do know the folks at Microsoft do try to make activation happen just as often as possible without going beyond the various-and-varied restrictions. I once broke a motherboard and then answered "three" to the question about how many machines had this installation while I was installing on a different board and since my license is from a 3-pack, and then someone on the phone quickly made my activation happen after I had explained what I had done and why.

Please post an MGADiag report is sounds very much to me as if it's a counterfeit (probably an MSDN-type license)

To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool

Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.x

I will proceed and I will definitely do that and report back. I have no problem with using my old pre-XP Windows keys on more than one of my own hobby machines for entertainment or utility purposes, but I will have nothing to do with pirated software or abuse of Microsoft or any other current-OS licensing.
