Please follow the Windows Update Posting Instructions and post the requested data

If the file is too large (8MB compressed), remove the older CBSPersist cab files until the final file is below the limit - you can always post them separately after zipping them. (the forum doesn't allow the upload of bare CAB files, for a number of reasons)

Please also post the C:\Windows\windowsudpate.log file

The update for Explorer 11 is 3.0 MB each time.

I follow your suggest path via my C drive/Windows/ but there is no windowsupdate.log file there is web folder or wisxs folder and no windowsupdate.log file in those folders either.

I did index search and did find windows update in notepad and it looks like log file. Very long and not sure how to find the actuall file to post here or if that is the smarteset thing to do.

I suppose eventually this thing will resolve itself. I'm using windows 7 pro. Always do updates and never any problem. Have best nortons security offered.

I'm not going to spend too much time tracking and posting everthing in intructions you posted link to. If not a simple fix that others are familiar with I will just keep installing, I guess. I comes around every 3rd day or so.

    thx Noel

That update is one of the ones that has been BROKEN by running Disk Cleanup.

Simply reinstall the update - and don't run the extended cleanup.
