ZoneAlarm used to cause many problems - but I thought they'd got them sorted.

Please follow the Windows Update Posting Instructions and post the requested data

If the file is too large (8MB compressed), remove the older CBSPersist cab files until the final file is below the limit - you can always post them separately after zipping them. (the forum doesn't allow the upload of bare CAB files, for a number of reasons)

Please also post the C:\Windows\windowsudpate.log file

    Hi Noel
I am at this moment doing as you asked but my PC does get the "Some updates were not installed " box .
My problem is just waiting for the this update to be installed every time I switch off. Sometimes there is 35 updates but this little begger is always there the next time .It might not be Zonealarm although I am pretty sure it is as it happened after I uninstalled Zonealarm .
Thanks I will reply when I have what you asked for . John.

SURT is a one-time download - but it is rather large at 300-700MB depending on OS.
If it's re-appeared in your Windows Update list, then Windows obviously thinks there's something wrong that it needs assistance for.

run through the Windows Update Posting instructions, and post the results, and someone will take a look.
