You are having huge problems with the Ntfs service - but they may be results rather than causes.

Try this -

First, uninstall the BlueStacks Android stuff and reboot, then...

delete the following file, then reboot.

C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Roaming\PeerNetworking\idstore.sst

post a new System events log.

It doesn't appear to have made any difference.

I'm beginning to suspect hardware problems - but it's Bedtime for Bonzo here....

I'll think on it, and try and come back to it afresh tomorrow.

Let's have a new set of Event logs to play with - you've been doing a fair amount of stuff in the other thread, which may have made significant changes there.

Open Event Viewer

click on theWindows logs entry in the left pane to expand it.

Now click on theApplication entry - wait while it loads.

Click on 'File'in the menu bar and select Save...

Save the file asAppevt.evtx

Repeat for theSystem log

then zip both,and upload them.

The event logs don't look as bad as they were...
The major problem in the Application logs appears to be this one...
Quote:
Volume Shadow Copy Service warning: VSS was denied access to the root of volume \\?\Volume{2e2e7923-6b72-11e0-b8df-4487fceac948}\. Denying administrators from accessing volume roots can cause many unexpected failures, and will prevent VSS from functioning properly. Check security on the volume, and try the operation again.
The question then becomes - which partition is this referring to? (although System Restore appears to be working properly?)

The System log has a mass of unrecoverable Ntfs errors ID 136 and 137 -
if we're lucky, this should fix them...

To resolve this problem, delete the .blf files and the .regtrans-ms files from the %Windir%\System32\SMI\Store\Machine folder.

After you restart the computer, the registry regenerates the deleted files. These regenerated files are in a consistent state.
There's also problems with the Anti-Malware - which could be either the result of corruption, or malware.

easiest fix is probably a reinstall...

Uninstall and reinstall MSE. Run the Fix It Tool to be sure you completely uninstall MSE:
Microsoft has published a knowledgebase article on how to manually remove Microsoft Security Essentials version 2.x: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2483120

You can then download a new MSE Installation File from here
