    A way to download KB3035583?

Back when that round of updates came out to implement the Windows 10 update scheme, I dutifully removed them and hid them. Now I'm curious to see how it all works, so I went to unhide and update again. All of the updates that I'd hidden were there, except 3035583 - it seems to have vanished!

I went to the MS site, but it seems the only way they make it available is through WU. Does anyone know of a standalone file I can download? Might it still be on my system somewhere? Or is there some way I can cajole WU to find it again?

    TIA...

If you like, you can also directly upgrade to Windows 10 from within your activated Windows 7 or 8.1 to get the free Windows 10 offer, and have it activated. :)

If I remember correctly, that update was offered a second time? Maybe you already have it, check installed updates. Sorry if this is not the case, I am not at my PC.

    Hi,
    Try this,
    Windows Update - Reset

That's actually pretty cool mine disappeared too

When updates disappear they often return as another update #

Try setting "check for updates " as NEVER CHECK. Then got to the check for updates menu and click check for updates. May take a while but when list comes up 583 will show in the optional updates. Have done it this way for years as I have limited WIFI and MS steals a lot if left on auto.

Same issue here, my Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 is up to date, but KB3035583 never shows up in Windows Update. Apart from the optional language packs under optional updates, there's nothing. I don't have the GWX directory either.

I tried this, but it didn't work - after checking for updates, it came up 'your computer is up to date'. It's so strange - I hid 583 and a couple of other updates, and when I went to unhide them, the other ones were still there - just 583 was gone. WTF?

Do you have other W10 updates hidden? You may need all to be installed.

I have exactly the same issue. When the KB3035583 came out I hid it, along with some other Win10 updates. Now I go back and this update is gone, but the other ones stayed. So basically I can't unhide it to make it pop up in the updates list. I unhide the other updates and installed them, but that didn't help.

I checked the list GokAy posted and I have all of them (for Win7) except KB3035583.

It's frustrating because it's most likely MS's fault, they changed priority on that update and that probably made it disappear but at the same time it's not showing up in the updates list.

My Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 is completely up to date, including KB2952664, but KB3035583 never shows up in Windows Update. Apart from the optional language packs under optional updates, there's nothing left to update. I don't have the GWX directory either.

    I can't reserve Windows 10 as a result.

EDIT: My License type is OEM SLP, could this be causing an issue? Has anyone with OEM License been able to reserve Windows 10?
