    One last thing to check...

Open your 'Event Viewer' go to 'Application and Services Logs > Microsoft > Windows > GWX-Ins > Operational.

In the each 'Information' event check to see if there's a message - GWX Main: Launched for tray startup?

    See below.
Sorry for the delay. I was out getting pictures and talking to the neighbors. But, I will check this out right now.

I see at least three 'error' events. Have you looked at the messages associated with those events?

The errors might have more to do with your system than it is the update itself.

Another member posted this this link in the other thread. Take a look and see if it resolves your particular problem.

Okay. I have to work today, but when I get in, I will be glad to check the errors out and report them back to you.

Well, what do you know. The "Get Windows 10" app finally showed up. Thanks everyone for your help.

Hi Jesse, I looked and had an error also. But mine said "Error message: GWX Main: App failed to start hresult: The system cannot find the file specified." Did yours resolve without doing anything between your last two posts? I just completed the optional updates about 30 minutes ago

I don't know what fixed it. Arc told me to disable some apps at Startup through Ccleaner. I also had to delay an app in msconfig. Finally, after I rebooted, it started showing up on my taskbar. I hope this helps. I am going to send you a link to a command in command prompt that I ran last night. That may have been what fixed it also. Its a mystery, if you ask me.

pittpharm, try this link. There are a ton of solutions and fixes that might fix the issue. Below the first post is the Answer, and that's the one that I tried that might work.
