    Question about Activation

    Hey,

I changed my RAMs and couple hours later got a Windows Activation request. Is this normal? Never thought RAM would trigger it.

    Re-entering key didn't work either

It worked alright and activated after the agony of entering a thousand numbers over the phone, then on the computer.

As requested by Layback Bear, here is the report. One thing to note, I did install this OS, exactly 2 months ago (8th of April), I guess it was just luck that it happened the day I replaced RAMs :)

    Jack, thanks for the input.

I also activated NVidia surround in this OS first time. But no idea if that is relevant. This involved:
    - Connecting the 3rd monitor with HDMI (TV was connected here)
    - Changing TV to second GPU HDMI
    - Enable span in NVidia CP.

As far as I know, none of these should trigger a re-activation.

You could do this tutorial by Brink so Noel could take a look.
Something happened; it may or may not be a problem.

I don't see anything wrong with your log but Noel is the expert.

    Have you updated your bios?
Have you had any infections lately?
    Do you have KB971033?

Is your system properly activated now?

    Have you tried Windows Updates?

Have you used any registry clean up, tune up programs?

Have you used any products from IObits?

Please attempt validation at www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate using Internet Explorer - what happens?
