How to install Windows Update for Get Windows 10" - currently MISSING

Hi everyone, I have a laptop that has been upgraded to Windows 7 Pro (from Home edition). I've run the batch file from this website, with no success.

On this site I've found plenty of threads explaining how to remove it, but none about how to add it if it's missing. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

You won't get it if the utility decides
1) you don't have SP1 installed properly
2) Your system is non-genuine
3) Your system doesn't meet the required specs for Win10
4) you have corruption or missing files.

It looks like your system should meet the spec, so let's check the other stuff...

I need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool
(download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.

Also,

Please follow the Windows Update Posting Instructions and post the requested data

If the file is too large (8MB compressed), remove the older CBSPersist cab files until the final file is below the limit - you can always post them separately after zipping them. (the forum doesn't allow the upload of bare CAB files, for a number of reasons)

Please also post the C:\Windows\windowsudpate.log file

I *think* I've managed all you asked. Here are some screenshots, and files attached. I noticed the CBS.log is 130Mb

Successfully installed:

No errors on windows update, but also not showing "Windows 10" update

SFC scan run twice, with a restart in the middle

CBS log file is 130Mb

What's the next step? Thank you.

you can either ignore the errors - which MS has said it will fix in a later update - or uninstall and hide the updates concerned (KB3022345 and KB3068708)

Thanks Noel, I couldn't quite figure out all the logs myself. So until MS comes up with a repair, I'm not able to "reserve" a copy of Windows 10 - is that right?

Those errors have nothing to do with the Win10 system notification, that I know of - you can uninstall them and still get the notification.

It looks to me from your WU log as if you may be having communication problems with the MS servers -
what Firewall are you using?
What Anti-Virus?

My school has partially set up this laptop, so Windows Firewall is completely off, although from what I hear that's not a bad thing necessarily.

I'm using AVG Anti Virus Free.

No third-party firewall installed at all??
What idiot of a Sysadmin decided that policy? (and yes, please tell them I said that!)
The survival time of a computer without a firewall on the internet is usually reckoned as less than 30minutes.!
You MUST have a firewall switched on at all times - even when connected to s 'closed' network - to prevent intrusions from other infected computers.

You are almost certainly going to be infected with something.

Please downloadand install Malwarebytes Anti-malware(free version) from http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/- UNtick 'Enable free trial of MBAM Premium' at the end of the installation- and update it, then run a fullscan in your main account, and Quickscans in any other user accounts.
