So I bit the bullet and installed this update. It seems that it has not caused any problems. The following files were downloaded:

Might you want do a search for your AMD CPU Microcode and see if it match your actual one. Might be listed somewhere in some dedicated forums .
The article ID won't do any harm to your system, this .dll file already exist, saw you have the 2010 update too. It won't trigger unless the processor is listed.
Mine reads 11 for Microcode. My BIOS is current & there will never be another BIOS update for this machine. According to what NoN wrote on the first page regarding CPU Microcode sounds like maybe this update = KB3064209 should not be ignored. But as another suggested perhaps I'll wait a couple weeks.

@Callender,
On my machine does exist the mcupdate_AuthenticAMD.dll, is dated from July 2009. Could you have a newer version than me?
Looks there are probs with AMD: mcupdate_AuthenticAMD.dll any newer versions? WARNING...
But why is it offered on a machine with an AMD processor? I still can't make sence of it but a search for anything Intel related reveals this directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\InstallShield\Professional\RunTime\11\50\Intel32
with the following files - all unsigned:
Maybe it could be that I previously installed software with a faulty complier?
