    Cannot install IE11. Error 9C59. Win7 Pro x64

I've read through a ton of forums and blog posts on this error, but still cannot get it to install. Have tried Windows update, which results in the 9C59 error, as well as the offline installer, which fails and puts a useless troubleshooting shortcut on the desktop.

SFC completes fine, CheckSUR also completes without error.

My CBS folder is huge. Compressed it's 95MB. The CBS.log file is 140MB. This seems very large, probably not normal. Regardless, I've uploaded the zip to my Dropbox for now. Please let me know how I can shrink it to attach normally.

    Thanks in advance!

Yeah, if it's on the first 3 pages of Google, I've probably tried it

I've completely uninstalled via command line all previous versions, even removed and readded IE8 from add/remove Windows Components.

    They do not exist.

In "Packages", I have Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-Package-TopLevel~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.2.9200.16521, but no 11.

    Nothing close in Manifests.

This may simply be a corrupt SoftwareDistribution folder...

    Openan Elevated Command Prompt

    Runthe following commands

    NET STOP WUAUSERV

    REN C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution SDOLD

    NET START WUAUSERV

    reboot

thenwait 10 minutes, and open Windows Updates, and run a Check for Updates.

Installonly the oldest update found - and reboot once installed

thengo back to Windows updates and install the others. - if it fails to go in, post the new windowsupdate.log file.

OK - please post the C:\Windows\IE11_main.log file - it should give us some closer ideas about the exact problem.
