    downloading updates frozed, no errors

    Hello
I try download my updates (64 so far found) however WU shows always "dowloading updates" message, nothing happens, not even one update is downloaded and installed after. Ive installed System Update Readiness Tool KB947821, following the procedure from this forum, it has been installed successfully but no errors showed on WU screen and after rebooting still cant download any updates, so summary:

    1. SURT KB947821 - done, seems no errors
    2. Disc Check - no errors
    3. sfc /scannow - some errors have been fixed, some cannot be fixed

My CBS log and WU logs files have been upload: http://demo.ovh.eu/en/d6538586a780b539883ca26fe18ac03a/

If other files are necessary to upload please let me know

    Thank you

    SFC shows the following problems...

I'll post a fix for those when I can...

You also have a large number of errors associated with SP1 - Please post the CheckSUR.log file

It looks as if you may have corruption in your SoftwareDistribution folder as well...
    Code:
    2015-07-29	01:29:09:074 476	ee8	DnldMgr	Preparing update for install, updateId = {AC9FF011-44B1-445A-9110-F70A4365A38D}.501.
    2015-07-29	01:29:09:074 476	ee8	Misc	FATAL: Failed to delete file \\?\C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download\Install\Windows6.1-RTM-Client-NEUTRAL-AMD64.EXE (hr = 80070005) after 0 retries
...although I have seen this error generated simply because the file didn't exist.

Let's have a look at the CheckSUR output first...

Here's the prime error from the CheckSUR report...
    Code:
    Unavailable repair files:
    winsxs\manifests\amd64_microsoft-windows-mediaplayer-core_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.23041_none_69f5bbc37ef22fc6.manifest
...which we need to fix first.

There are also a number of missing payload files, which we'll have to address a different way.
    Code:
    Checking Component Store
    (f)	CSI Payload File Missing	0x00000000	Windows PowerShell.lnk	amd64_microsoft-windows-powershell_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.17514_none_5b56b853bd5adf50
    (f)	CSI Payload File Missing	0x00000000	Windows PowerShell (x86).lnk	amd64_microsoft-windows-powershell_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.17514_none_5b56b853bd5adf50
    (f)	CSI Payload File Missing	0x00000000	Windows PowerShell Modules.lnk	amd64_microsoft-windows-powershell_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.17514_none_5b56b853bd5adf50
As you can see, they are the same ones as mentioned in the SFC scan.

I'll post both fixes when I can get to it - most likely over the weekend.

    I've uploaded a file - qnnaa.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
    Please download and save it.
Right-click on the downloaded file, and select Extract all…
Extract to the default location - which will create a new folder qnnaa in the same place.
Open this folder - there should be one folder inside it (Manifests)

Copy the content of the manifests folder (.manifest files) into this folder:

    C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests

Now run the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)

Post the new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.

Great - the manifest errors have been fixed, which just leaves the following Paylod file errors...
    Code:
    (f)	CSI Payload File Missing	0x00000000	Windows PowerShell.lnk	amd64_microsoft-windows-powershell_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.17514_none_5b56b853bd5adf50

    (f)	CSI Payload File Missing	0x00000000	Windows PowerShell Modules.lnk	amd64_microsoft-windows-powershell_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.17514_none_5b56b853bd5adf50
    (f)	CSI Payload File Missing	0x00000000	connectionmanager_dmr.xml	amd64_microsoft-windows-mediaplayer-core_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.23041_none_69f5bbc37ef22fc6
Please run another SFC /SCANNOW, and post the new CBS.log file - this will tell us if we need to fix any more files at the same time.

I'll post a fix protocol later today.

    I've uploaded a file - qnnab.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
    Please download and save it.

Right-click on the saved file and select Extract all...
Change the target to C:\ and click on Extract
Close all windows (it would be a good idea to print these instructions!)

Now reboot to the Repair Environment - as soon as the machine restarts, start tapping F8 - this should bring up the Advanced Boot Menu, at the top of which should be the option 'Repair my Computer'
    Pick that
You'll have to log in with your username and password.

Pick the option to use a Command Prompt
    At the prompt type
    DIR C:\qnnab
hit the enter key - if you get a 'Not Found' error try
    DIR D:\qnnab
    or
    DIR E:\qnnab

The drive letter in use when you find the folder will need to be substituted (for<drive>) into the following command...

    XCOPY <drive>:\qnnab <drive>:\windows\winsxs /y /i /s /v /h

    (e.g. XCOPY P:\wfire P:\windows\winsxs /y /i /s /v /h )

run the command (it should take almost no time) and when the prompt returns, type
    EXIT
and hit the Enter key to exit Command Prompt - reboot to Normal Mode Windows.

Now run SFC /SCANNOW in an Elevated Command Prompt
then reboot and upload the new CBS.log file to your reply
