Good - we just have the one error left in CheckSUR now...
    Code:
    Checking Component Store
    (f)	CSI Missing Deployment Key	0x00000000	ccb3aa159d2..53a473e1121_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.22044_8eeb23f375ee78dc	HKLM\Components\CanonicalData\Deployments
I'll see what I can do with that one later.

    So Noel

What's next and final step ?
And what about "non-genuine status" ?

    Nah - too busy
Looking back at this, I'm a little worried that the registry will have changed significantly when you ran the cleanup - so I'd better have a new copy of the COMPONENTS hive to play with, please.

CheckSUR shows the following remaining problem...
    Code:
    Checking Component Store
    (f)	CSI Missing Deployment Key	0x00000000	ccb3aa159d2..53a473e1121_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.22044_8eeb23f375ee78dc	HKLM\Components\CanonicalData\Deployments
    I've uploaded a file - panae.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
Please download and save it to your desktop.
Right-click on the file and select Extract All, and save to the default destination (which should be a folder on the desktop)

Create a new System Restore point

Open an Elevated Command Prompt, and run the following commands.

    Code:
    IF EXIST C:\Windows\System32\config\COMPONENTS.OLD1 DEL C:\Windows\System32\config\COMPONENTS.OLD1
    REN C:\Windows\System32\config\COMPONENTS COMPONENTS.OLD1
    COPY "%userprofile%\desktop\panae\COMPONENTS" C:\Windows\System32\config

    .
If you get an error with any command, STOP THERE - do not reboot! - post for instructions.

Assuming all commands go OK, reboot, and run another CheckSUR scan - post the new CheckSUR.log file.

    Hello Noel

CheckSUR shows NO errors and Windows update works perfect. Many many thanks to you.
So the last issue that wait from you to solve is the "non-genuine status".

I'd like to ask you something else..
I have another computer that Windows Update stucks.
Have I to open a new post or you can help me here ??

    Many many thanks again Noel

Let's stick with one computer per thread

OK - let's have a new MGADiag report and see what it looks like now.

Ah - the installation is counterfeit!

You have a OEM_SLP Key from an ASUS machine on a retail GigaByte motherboard

The installation of Office XP is also counterfeit.

You need to find a legitimate Ultimate Key - or reformat and reinstall with another version/edition of Windows
