    Windows Update


    Hi All,

    So i have just installed Win 7 64bit on a new SSD, i installed my graphics driver and nothing else, updates said i had 189, when it finished it only installed 24, the rest failed!!!!!!!!

    Hi and welcome to SevenForums,
    Click Start and right click the Computer listing and select Properties,
    On the bottom does it say Windows is Activated ?

    Please follow the Windows Update Posting Instructions and post the requested data

    If the file is too large (8MB compressed), remove the older CBSPersist cab files until the final file is below the limit - you can always post them separately after zipping them. (the forum doesn't allow the upload of bare CAB files, for a number of reasons)

    Please also post the C:\Windows\windowsudpate.log file

    Hi Noel, I have followed the procedure in an earlier post, wow it worked, all updates successful

    I would like to thank everyone who helped, this is such a great place with lots of knowledgeable people here.

    Please post the logs anyhow - there may be problems remaining that need to be fixed.

    The Windowsupdate.log looks fine now - but please post the SBC data as well.

    Here you go Noel, file to big, have deleted all the persit ones but file still to big!!!!

    OK - delete the CBS.log from the archive as well - I can get away with just the CheckSUR.log for the moment
