False error message "Not genuine windows"

Over the last few days I have been getting the error message "not genuine Windows". This prevents me from getting Windows updates and causes other problems in regards of downloading information. When I follow the online link to rectify the problem I am getting error 0xC8000247 which is supposedly caused by a outdated Raid driver. I have tried to update my driver but the system tells me that the most up-to-date driver is already installed. Does anybody know how to resolve this issue? Is it possible to do a repair installation of Windows 7? The Windows key is attached to the computer as it came installed on the system.

A wild shot, download, install, run tweaking.com's Windows Repair (All in One) in Safe Mode with Networking, accepting defaults, adding items #26 and 27. That might help smooth Windows operations some. Now, if this is a viri or malware, that might take additional tools, with WR being first and last run.

Please do NOT run the tweaking.com tool - it can have some nasty side-effects.

This may simply be caused by a bad set of Intel Rapid Storage Technology drivers -

Installing the Intel Rapid Storage Drivers
try downloading and installing them from here - https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Det...&DwnldID=22194

    (you want the iata_enu.exe download)

Once complete, please reboot twice, then post another MGADiag report.

NoelDP, I want to learn from you! May I have a quick-list of those possible side-effects?

The major one of concern is that until recently running certain options gave the 'Everyone' group full access to the whole Windows folder! - this is a massive security hole which I believe they ave now gone some way to correcting, but it doesn't show the programmers to be terribly concerned about security (more about getting an apparent 'fix' at any cost)

How come I have to scroll from left to right in here now? :) :)
Anyway, thanks NoelDP! Has anyone contacted the developer? I understand that person listens and tries to improve the product constantly.

If the OP had wrapped the info in code tags, you would not have to make horizontal scrolls.
