    KB3095649 - another mystery meat update?

    I wonder why I'm being offered this update on Win 7 when that page states it's for Win 8.1 and Server 2012 ?

    OK so I replied too soon - the KB post only references Windows 8.1 or Windows Server 2012:

    To apply this update, you must have April 2014 update rollup for Windows RT 8.1, Windows 8.1, and Windows Server 2012 R2 (2919355) installed in Windows 8.1 or Windows Server 2012 R2.

    We posted at the same time, but i think we posted the same question as to what OS this update really applies to.
    I won't attempt to install this on W7 (or W8.1) until i read it works...
    To me, it seems something is wrong with this update published today.

    I'll get Win 8.1 running, check for updates, and let you know what it shows.

    OK, now it gets more fun !
    I'm on W8.1 now and here is what i see for updates published today.
    KB3095649 is one of the updates

    KB3095649 installed just fine into a W7pro64bit Virtual Machine.

    I'll wait a while before putting it on a live computer.
