    That wasn't my experience back when I tried MSE. The fact it wasn't updating unless I did it manually was one of the reasons I dumped it (along with the fact it was getting poor performance ratings).

    Ya, I did not like seeing 5583 pop up again yesterday, what`s up with that ?

    Enough Microsoft, I`m sick of it.

    Really I would download and install that one :)

    I hear ya Lady I did too I ended up using this to get MSE to do auto by using task manager.

    It updates perfectly fine for me....not sure what you guys have done if it doesn't for you.

    Me either but it worked after creating the task :/

    Even though I don't plan on using MSE ever again (too many better ones out there), I still copied and pasted the tutorial into a Word doc for future reference on how to use the Task Scheduler. Thanks for the "edjumacashun"!

    There was a problem a few years ago where MSE definition updates stopped working.
    As i remember it, it was a problem with a Windows Update that caused the problem.
    That problem was fixed, but it hit many people (myself included) and some chose to ditch MSE because of the issue.
