Unable to activate windows. OEM key

Hello, I've been trying to activate my laptop for sometime now. I had to reinstall windows 7 home premium 64 bit a few weeks back and it will not take my key on the coa sticker. No anti-virus is running on this machine as of yet.

That key should activate. If nothing works, call Microsoft.

Have you tried doing the activate by phone option? Anytime I've had to use the key on the OEM COA sticker, I had to activate by phone the first time I used it.

Looks like yours advice is sound Alpha,
Re-arm count is still at 3.

By the way your bios is out of date.

Won't take the key as in refuses to accept it when you type it in for entry? Or won't activate with it? Is it a Windows 7 COA sticker? Looking at your Diagnostic report, I only see OA 2.0 support in the BIOS? OA 2.0 is Vista? You need OA 2.1 for Windows 7 OEM SLP to work. If your using the key on the sticker it should not matter, your activating online with that key anyway. It just makes me wonder if that PC actually shipped with Windows 7 factory installed? If it did it should have a OA 2.1 SLIC table in the BIOS. Something doesn't look right to me?

I thought it was the windows marker version 0x20001, that makes it W7.

Going by this, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/System...e-installation you need SLP 2.1 for Windows 7? That means you need OA 2.1 data in the BIOS not just OA2.0. The way I read it anyway? We'll have to wait for the OP to post back with more info.
