KB3102429 shows up again despite being blocked
I could understand them pushing the Windows 10 updates, but why would I need the symbol for Azeri? Manat on my PC???

Any update can be ignored, that's not the problem
I agree with the OP, it's madness re-issuing an update that was only ever going to be of zero interest to most users - as evidenced by its optional status.
The trouble with this sort of thing is that MS has a tendency to re-issue such updates as optional for a couple of times, then they suddenly appear as important with the result that they get installed by those who stick to automatic updating. Meanwhile it just adds another layer of frustration to those other users who keep having to research and hide the dratted things! I know it's easy to hide updates, but I never do so without first checking the "more information" prompt in order to make a reasoned decision, and that's a complete waste of my time if I've already checked it out and made my decision not to install it.
Yep numerous font and time zone updates
Never know who needs it so push it out to everyone
I can't say I disagree with that policy but there was one font update that did quite a bit of damage
Little Russian currency symbol about like this one mentioned here
They start out innocent enough then might cost someone a real local currency cost for repairs
If M$ pushes something out again it's because the first one had issues pretty typical of Optional or recommended updates
Unfortunately updates are not an exact science only releasing them is if they work or not/ not so much :)
FWIW I installed KB3102429 some three weeks ago, and this week did also get notified of it again as you. I installed it again, no big deal.
I think MS must have made a correction and re-issued it, despite that there are no specific comments to that effect in the webpage that I could find.
Max, why in the world would you install that update ?
Update that supports Azerbaijani Manat and Georgian Lari currency symbols in Windows
Why not? No big deal just some symbols. But if I ignore the update ie. hide it, then weeks/months/years from now I keep finding it in Hidden Updates and wonder what it is. OTOH if I install it, it is gone forever except for the note I made in my PC's Diary.
To not install a simple update like this because one is paranoid about W10...well I guess that does fall under the definition doesn't it.
