    Hello and welcome to 7Forums.

Yes, many people are commenting of the same experience.
Some say that perhaps the Microsoft servers are busy with the Win 10 upgrades.

Set your PC to download and install as you go off to bed for the night.
It can take up to 4 or more hours.

It would be strange if Microsoft servers are overloaded from Windows 10 updates, since I've read Windows 10 is supposed to use peer to peer for updates.

Well lets see what is strange.
Now Windows 7 updates after a install take from 4 to 8 hours and for some it takes from 12 to 24 hours.
That never happened before the release of the free W-10.
Their are a billion or so trying to download the free W-10 that Microsoft is pushing very hard.
You can even download and install W-10 with a counterfeit Windows 7. That has got to make a half billion or so Chinese happy. When that much extra downloads even Microsoft's servers are going to be strained. The extra bandwidth has got to be huge.

As far as I know nobody can prove the problems are from the Microsoft servers being overloaded but 2+2 should still add up to 4.
So in my opinion and yes it's only a opinion W-10 has priority over Windows 7 when it come to the use of Microsoft's servers. Their will never be proof because Microsoft will never release such information.
