    Unable to re-install IE 10

I was hoping I could rely on your expertise to help mefigure out an issue.

I am unable to install IE 10 for a user. It was acting strangely for her so I removed the IE 10 update and then tried to manuallyre-install IE 10 using a stand alone installer but it fails to install. I did a check for windows updates and IE 11 appears but not IE 10. I even triedinstalling IE11 via the Windows update but it fails too, error code ending with3FD on that.

The user is currently using IE 8.

The steps I have taken so far arelisted below:

    Original Issue:

Internet explorer keeps messing upwhere the top inch of the screen disappears and hides the menu. Instead if youclick there you end up clicking on the desktop background. Clicking cascadewindows or maximize windows via task manager corrects the issue temporarily butit re-occurs.

    Troubleshooting steps taken:

-I reset IE to default but itissue re-occurred an hour or so later.
    -Restoring advanced settings didn't help.
-I rolled back the IE 10 update to IE 8 but then I could not re-install IE 10because the installer does not finish successfully. Also trying to check forupdates to get IE 10 to install does not work. IE 11 is found but that updateends up failing too, error 3FD.
-I completely removed internet explorer and then reinstalled it (which is IE 8)but IE 10 install still doesn't work
-I am able to apply updates to IE 8 but can't install IE 10.
-I did a sfc /scannow and it found no errors
-I ran SURT, then I tried to install IE 10 orIE 11 again but still failed.

-I used msconfig and disabled all non windows services and rebooted her PC but I still could not install IE 10nor IE 11.

I have uploaded to my google drive, the zipped CBS folder. Your help is much appreciated.

I doubt ie10 will show up until you right click and Hide the ie11 update

ie10 is unsupported by the way.

    Hi Blackfoot,
Please ensure that his graphics card drivers are upto date (AMD?), Its possible that the card is on its way out, then try the stand alone IE11 installer.
Download Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7 from Official Microsoft Download Center

Hi Guys, thanks for your help.

I wanted to let everyone know this issue has been resolved.

We use a software called Mirage to manage applications on our computers and I had to perform an "Enforce Layers" which corrected the issue and she has IE 10 successfully working.

We are not using IE 11 yet as it has not finished being tested to ensure it works with all the websites we rely on.

    Thanks!
