Getting error when trying to update win7.

Hello, this is the first time using this forum.Well the problem i've got is that i'm trying to upgrade to windows 10 but when i open the upgrade window it says please wait and then suddenly closes down ,i read somewhere that its because i haven't done my updates so i go to do my updates , it says checking for updates for about 30 min and the says:Windows update encountered an unknown error code 80080005.
Could someone help me a bit. Thanks

EDIT:sorry i didn't read the windows updating posting rules and il be adding everything you need soon.
2 EDIT:ive ran the SURT tool but it been 4 hours(maybe more) now and nothing has happened, what should i do? Please help im not very good with computers.

    Hi Cam,
You have 2 licence codes a dell oem, thats the one you can get running a standard MS tool, its the same for every Dell W7 home premium computer and installed at the factory. The second is the one on your sticker, and is unique to your comp.
(the reason you couldn't get the D/L is that MS has dropped them for OEM installs)

Either code will work for the link i referred to above, Use the installed one, keep the other for emergencies, and dont publish it.
