Is there a problem with KB3140735?

I found that after the March Windows Update my computer froze in the middle of opening my BT home page. The computer completely locked up for two or three minutes whilst the page was opening. I looked at installed updates and decided that I had to delete updates and by a process of elimination discover if any of the updates were causing a problem.

I uninstalled KB3140735 and the problem was resolved. Has anyone else experienced any problems with this update?

    Hi,
You might post a direct link to the home page you're having issues with

Personally I haven't seen any issues with the update you're referring too Graphic's fonts :/

    Thanks
Besides it effecting scrolling a bit the site opened in ie11 and pale moon
Both showed signs of scrolling issues probably because of all the content in the news section :/

Many thanks. I have BT saved as my home page and the computer locked up when opening the home page for the first time following turning on the computer. Thereafter all was well apart from the scrolling issues that you mentioned. Removing KB3140735 resolved the issue.

    Hi,
You should ask the website support too as they should realized the shear massive content is way too much :)
No telling what all is really going on if a update kills some of it but as stated nothing really froze it was just slow as hello :)

Many thanks ThrashZone. I have posted on the BT Forum and we all agree that the web site is bloated, however the locking up problem hasn't been reported by anyone else. However I wouldn't even contemplate approaching BT support. Their support is terrible and from experience it would be a complete waste of time. I am still waiting for a return phone call I was promised several weeks ago on another matter.

    Hi,
Obviously they don't use their own site :)
