    WHAT are these ?: c:\windows\temp CAB_*_2 thru 6

I've got 55 sets, with cab_*_2 as a 'file' EACH with a size of 130,177 kb , & the related cab_*_3-6 are ZERO bytes.

Some have multiple creations on the same Day, different Times.

IE there are 7 sets just from June 19,2016, which also shows

    lpksetup-2010619-105635-0.log" file 4k 6/19/2016 10:57, and a

    fwtsqmfile07.sgm file 1k 6/19/2016 11:03.

Tempted to clean out the Temp. Any input appreciated.

    For C:\Windows\Temp folder
All items in the Temp folder can be deleted.
Normally there may 1 or 2 files cannot be deleted, just select "Skip" when prompt.

Agree on deletes, but what the hell is creating them?

OOdles of them. AND, it's only occurring on the newer Dell latitude with win 7 pro, NOT on a slightly older( 1 year) dell Inspiron with win 7 pro... Thought they might be related to system recovery files, if they could be cross referenced date stamped with updates applied - not sure that's working out so well - .
