Hi so this is what you're down too 64 Important left ?

Have you viewed the update history and is there any failed ?

Uncheck all of them and install our friend kb3020369 all by it's self.

The other one I posted Install it after installing kb3020369.

Yes down to 64, but not after another install, from the old failed one.

Wanted to show what it displayed after check for updates, after the 1st install that had errors, for which you recommended 25 bunch from bottom starting with KB3020469.

Want your expert suggestion, after you had a look and recommend a plan for another clean install.

Thanks.

PS: Update history has the same failed installs as posted earlier.

Hi,
I haven't really changed my opinion much
Just really doubt your internet connection more than from the beginning,

Heck you can try from the top 25 and work your way down if you wish too that would be more in line with Derek's suggestion
I was thinking ie11 was hampering a lot of the updates from installing but it may just be your internet connection dropping off at large downloads
Downloading the 7 pro iso was pretty obvious of that happening.

Hi Alex,

If by selecting 25 updates and it still fail to download. Simply just try downloading 1 or 2 updates from the bottom. See if this helps.

Thanks Dusk,ThrashZone and Derek,

I got a 25 MB dedicated wired link conncetion, no WiFi, started from bottom choose 25, got 20 installed, 5 failed........attaching screenshot.

What more can I do?

Isn't there a set pattern how to install updates after a clean install of 7 Pro 32 bit and not to have errors?

Hoping to hear from you after you have a expert look at the screenshot,

Best regards!

Thanks Dusk for chiming in, what if I get an error with 1 or 2 , as I go up the list??

Bottom line, I have to learn to live with, face and ignore errors......there is nothing like a error free updating of W7......

I'm a noob, when it comes to computers and Windows etc.

But I have a feeling that MS don't care about errors, as long as they are getting downloaded and installed.

That said, probably why some updates fail is cause there primary/main update hasn't been installed yet.......just a gut feelin could be wrong?

Thanks again.

Edited:

If I had ignored failing updates would have had a up to date machine running by now, with history of unsuccessful updates, but what difference does that make having a history with failed updates?

Hi,

In all these years with windows never bothered about failed/unsuccessful updates and kept checking and installing after each reboot.

From what I have gathered so far is to

1. Install SP1 update.

2. Install IE 11.

3. .NET updates one at a time.......starting from which one?

4. Than all the rest?

How does that look, care to edit would appreciate it.

The other option is not to waste your time and perform updating as earlier....all in one go, ignore failed/unsuccessful and keep rebooting and updating till current.

Thanks again.

Best regards!
