No Updates Available - No updates installed either

    Hello,

Having a strange issue with windows update. There are no updates installed on this computer except for

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3172605

In the past if I am unable to check for updates this update rollup usually takes care of everything. However, this time check for windows update takes 2+ hours and it will come back saying no updates are available. I checked the installed updates list and there is nothing in there.

I also ran the system update readiness tool and the checksur.log file didnt find any errors.

Windowsupdate.log file shows that it finds updates but it doesn't list them at all.

I could not upload everything from the CBS folder because it was 50MB so I uploaded CBS.log and CheckSUR.log.

I have also ran sfc /scanow and nothing came back.

    Does anyone have suggestions?

    Thanks

Maybe you could try this method.
Sorry, i don't read the attachments.

This laptop sent for repaired and returned.
It did indicated some updates are available.
But it also mentioned that it wait for the schedule time to updates.

I did select the option that "Install updates automatically (recommended)" in the setting.
It mentioned it will wait until the schedule time, else it will update on the next boot up.
As i had switch off this laptop, forgot to let it updates.
I still forget until now, when writing this post.

When i go to Windows updates, it said that the update is ready to update when i shutdown.
    Now i remembered.
Hence i am going to shutdown.

Hence you may able to change the option first.
Make sure the schedule time to check for updates is when the PC is using.

Most updates are for important updates, for that options.
As for other updates, you could go back to check what updates are available.

So, it is best to set a schedule time (when the PC is turn on) and let it download, before you want to select the updates you want.
It may download others available updates too, as let you to select the updates.

Most updates are time consuming, and it is best let it check while you can do other things.

    Hi,
Well that is the latest update client in that update you show,
Have you gone to uninstall a program and view installed updates from there ?
