Windows 7 Home vs Windows 7 Pro ref. updates

Does Windows 7 Professional have their own updates or can updates from Home Premium also be installed in a Windows 7 Pro system? Since I do not have a Windows 7 Pro OS, I am only guessing that having a computer with the Windows 7 Pro only downloads updates dedicated to that version only.

Hi,
Only real difference is 32 bit or 64 bit but they would get the same updates 64 bit updates are larger file than 32 bit would get.
But no difference in home premium and pro except pro has group policy...

Pro will get the same updates Home Premium does, why are you worried about if you`re running Home Premium ??

Thanks for your replies. Not worried at all. Just verifying if the SP-1 update on a Pro machine has the same KB no. as a Home Premium version, thats all.

Hi,
If one is installing win-7 they should be using media that already has sp1 included in it not using media that doesn't.

Service Pack 1 is Service Pack 1, there is no difference about it on any version.

And I agree with Mike, the installer you`re using should have SP1 already with it.
