Wish to stop requests to install KB2952644

In the last week or two I've been receiving messages to install KB2952644. My settings are to ask before I download. As far as I can determine my OS does not need KB2952644, and it seems that there are dark aspects about this update.
Detested snooping patch KB 2952664 reappears | InfoWorld

Can someone please advise if there's a simple way of stopping the messages to install? TIA.

    Hi,
Best way is to never install it
Best way to do that is to change your windows update setting to Exclude Recommended updates from being mixed in with actual Important updates by Unchecking this box in Change update settings

Thanks for that advice. The update reminder is cancelled. My preferences include check for updates and let me choose. I found this to be useful when reading about Win 10 and how there are large updates foisted upon users. I'll look at the selection in the red box.

    Hi,
Yep that box will cause confusion on what updates are really classified as :)

That seems to have worked. There have been no prompts for the KB~ cited above, or any for that matter. I'm hoping that when I select the white pennant at the bottom right there will be messages for other updates. I'll wait and see for a few weeks. It would be nice to be able to unsubscribe from certain updates, as I did for Win 10.

    Hi,
I don't believe you or anyone can unsubscribe from installing win-10 updates
Pretty much all for one and one for all
All anyone can do is delay or schedule for the future but 10 home can do diddly about it

Only Enterprise editions can pick and choose.
Pro can through gpo but all I've found does is show a bunch of updates showing "Waiting to install" for one trouble.

There should be a hide button when you right click on an update.

    Hi,
Yep I believe the update system get cranky if updates are hidden
Plus most just return anyway as the release a new version of it so I just leave them in the Optional section to collect digital dust :)

That has worked. There's been no advice about KB~ cited above, or anything else for that matter. I've just discovered how to check for other updates. Right the white pennant and select Win updates. Not hard. There's a few big ones - rollups.

    Hi,
Unless they are classified as Important with the already posted update settings not sure I'd load anything in the Optional section :)
What else can be said about the update in question ?

These are the only Optional section updates that are actually good to have installed
