Both methods have issues?

Hi ThrashZone,

1. Installed using the older method with 2 manual updates, all went fine, none sfc errors, on check for updates found 157 important one, installed all in one go, 39 failed.

2. On reboot found 1 size 4.2 MB, won't install, downloading keeps running, and so does check for updates?

3. Attaching screen shots.

4. The 316 MB manual update, 2nd method is fine but has sfc errors and conflicts with a backup restore?

What is your expert recommendation...

Thanks.

Hi,
Usually I would break them up into groups,
Starting with the top 20-40 or so and repeat after
I believe I had to update win-8 like that a few months ago :/

Message should probably state updates do not apply not failed but we've gone through that message

This 4.2 MB update is for a x64 bit machine and not mine x32, is that the reason for stall?

Thanks.

Hi,
It has a 32 bit version so I doubt the update is sending you a 64 bit version

Kind of wondering why links show access denied

That's correct cause the size is of 32 bit.......but won't install, downloading keeps running......is it cause of the 39 failed one?

Thanks.

Could be my order is incorrect.....using the 2nd method.

1. KB3020369

2. KB3125574

This is not required KB3172605 and could be the reason the sfc error?

Thanks again!

Edit:

I was installing all 3....

1. KB3020369.

2. KB3125574.

3. KB3172605.

Probably the 3rd is the cause of the sfc.....

Hi,
There are many known issues with the second update kb3125574 seems you're just the lucky one having sfc issues with it
Didn't @CKing123 hook you up with a fix ?

Hi,

CKing recommended to ignore since there were 2 versions of some file older and a newer....that was giving the sfc error message.

Like posted is #3 KB3172605 required?

Thanks.

Edit:

Non fixable, just ignore.
