Windows Update + PHP menus

I noticed before (And submitted feedback) that I was unable to access several drop-down submenus, usually on php sites where they have the little arrows next to the name, and you're trying to access advanced search or other submenus. When I'd click, nothing would happen, if I would click continuously I might SEE the menu, but it was impossible to get TO the menu. I found that I could click and then right-click and might trick it and be able to use the sub-menu. Today there were 2 updates available by Microsoft, one was a security patch and the other was a new video driver for my nvidia 8600 gt. I installed both updates, the first thing I noticed was my internet explorer windows kept flashing like the screen was refreshing constantly, any time I moved the mouse/went over a link. Even though it didn't tell me to restart, I did. After restart... the problem is gone! The next thing I noticed is that the PHP menus are fixed! They work just the way they're supposed to now, just like they do in XP and Vista. I noticed this problem with several different video drivers, so I'm not sure if it was the video driver or the security update but who cares, the bug is a thing of the past.

I assume I'm not the only one that had this problem+noticed it, and I'm glad to see bugs being fixed that I have personally found and sent feedback for.

Proof that microsoft is listening!

I must assume you are using build 7000? Because the menu problem. I had it too in earlier versions but in 7022 and 7048 it was gone...

I guess it was already built-in. Also, in 7048, IE8 is not RC anymore, but appears to be final version, which I admit works flawlessly.

Glad you had it sorted out.

Yes I'm using build 7000 on several computers.

Even if they fixed it in the newer builds, it's still nice that they released the update for the build 7000 users. Much easier than reformatting every time a newer build comes out :P

Apart the new icons and several fixes, what works best is IE8 in the new build, I must say.
