windows update error 80072EFD

hello

i formated my pc, installed windows 7 build 6801, i used the crack "Windows 7 (All Versions) PlusPatcher_V5_Orbit30.exe" to activate windows and to be able to do updates because the official beta was not officially out.

windows update worked well, then i upgraded to build 7000 and i used an official valid product key to activate windows when asked just after the upgrade so windows update was activated with the windows genuine tool.

i started to have problems with windows update with the error 80007002 but i managed to make it work with the vista forums.

i updated to build 7057 and i am stuck with the error 80072EFD, i tried everything, i searched on everything i could find, (even translation of korean websites).

just to avoid certain typical answer that i found on forums, my msn windows live messenger has always been working well, i added the 3 windows update addresses to my firewall witch is KIS2009, and also to the file "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts.txt".

in "system properties", my windows is officially activated, could you please help me to find a way to be able to use windows update because i need it especially to use my bluetooth phone in order to download drivers, it tries to connect but fail.

i have used the troubleshooter of windows 7 for windows update but it does not find anything.

thank you for your forum and your time.

sincerlly yours,

Best bet -format and install 7057 - or unpatch the files you did for 6810.

Sounds like you will have to try to find the registry keys (if any) that the Crack left. The crack would have altered files relating to activation & update based on the 6801 build. In the start menu type 'regedit' and press enter & it will run registry edit. I cannot be 100% precise but you could try searching for strings relating to 'Crack' or 'Orbit30', and anything based on the name of the file you installed.

Hope this may be of some help

Additional: You could also try running the task manager (right-click the taskbar) to see if there are any programs running that look suspisiously like the installed crack. If so just right-click it and select 'End process tree' to kill the app, then try update again.
