Windows 7 x64 Ultimate Corrupt Update?

Update: Mainly, I want to get rid of the update. Meaning that if there's a list I can delete or some folder where that update was downloaded... Smth like that. I've also tried to delete pending.xml from windows\winsxs\ but it said that I don't have permission to delete it (even if I have only 1 user active and it has admin priviledges)..

Later I changed smth. Meanwhile I've created an empty folder Download in windows\SoftwareDistribution\ and renamed the active one intro smth else. Result: The same message at Windows login but there's some HDD activity now, but only from time to time, not continuously. Much later: I've uninstalled the last 2 updates from the list and now I can login in Windows normaly, but gadgets don't work, Internet browsers don't work, the programs work like i have 128 RAM (very slowly), MSN Live! Messenger doesn't respond and cannot be closed. When I tried to uninstall those updates I received an error: Not all of the updates were succesfully uninstalled. Tomorrow I'll try to uninstall all of them and see how is going...

You've broken something in software distribution. I'd go through the list of installed updates and uninstall them one at a time. First, I'd run sfc /scannow at an elevated command prompt.

it seems i cannot run sfc /scannow . It keeps telling me that "there is a system repair pending which requires reboot to complete. restart windows and run sfc again" although i've restarted the pc twice. how can I bypass that repair?

tried that. it doesn't. only works once. i login to windows. then nothing works.. i restart and i get the same msg.
