    Feb 23rd updates

    Hello all,

I updated this morning with the FEB 23RD updates. I didn't notice that they were for x64 based systems. When I got home I had BSOD after BSOD until I restored my computer back to a point before the updates.

Now it's asking me to update the same updates again. Why would it be asking me to update these x64 updates if I have a x86 system? I'm sure this is what caused my problems so what should I do?

Try to reinstall one by one every x86 Kbxxxxxx...from the download center now and maybe x64 will disappear after.

By the way, i've noticed 4 updates from the 22/02/2010 (as named important):

    Fix for KB978044
A USB composite device that supports consumer infrared does not work correctly on a computer that is running Windows 7

    Fix for KB977716
An update is available for third-party extensibility applications that start DVD playback in Windows Media Center for Windows 7

    Fix for KB978632
Extensibility applications that provide TV playback stop responding in Windows Media Center of Windows 7

    Fix for KB976422
The capacity of a Secure Digital (SD) card that is larger than 32 GB is reported incorrectly in Windows 7 and in Windows Server 2008 R2

Looks they're for x64 and x86 aswell. They were not listed in WU the 23rd Feb.

I did install manually from download center, and reboot...no worries at the moment....
