    Offline updates

Hi Guys. I'm having some issues with some offline updates on windows 7. I basically do a lot of windows 7 installations everyday, and would like to just grab the same office 2007 updates from a cd instead of internet. But I have a problem where I run the .exe file and it opens and closes (looking at task man). For example office2007sp2-kb953195-fullfile-en-us.exe will do that. Even when I run it from cmd.exe with admin privs... Am I doing something wrong?

    Hi MJennings,
Install the MS update called KB967642, then run the sp2 exe.

Oh, Ok. Couple of things you can try.

    1) Go to the following page and download the EXE file association fix. This page also has instuctions.

File Association Fixes for Windows 7 - The Winhelponline Blog

    2) Download Malwarebytes anti-malware (its free) and run a scan.

I don't think either of those are the problem. Remember i'm doing brand new windows installations.

Do you have problem only for Office updates & SP2 but with installations other programs and updates strictly for Windows 7 too?It make huge difference.Updates strictly for Windows 7 have *.msu or *.cab extensions.
