    desktop icons gone after update


    i aqm not sure if this is the right place to post this issue, if i am wrong i apologise, after 28 updates today my desktop icons have no picture per se ie they are all like programme files but task bar unaffected help would be appreciated

    thanks for your help unfortunately neither options one or two did not work so did not try three, also how can i get it to open full size all the time please?

    sorry i tried the command prompt to be told i must be an administrator to run it which i am

    Open new window in full screen?

    IE Window size memory?

    You might want to download and run a full scan with malwarebytes to make sure you haven't got any nasty stuff going on there.
    Malwarebytes

    Does your account have administrator written under it like this below?

    You could also create a new administrator account

    to see if that will allow you to run the sfc /scannow.
