| W XP 3 posts | Can I do a second install with my Dell win 7 disc I have a dell win 7 home premium disc just just came with my laptop. Can I use that disk to install Win 7 on a new desktop? Or do I have to buy another Win 7 full installation disk? Thanks |

| Vista, Windows7, Mint Mate, Zorin, Windows 8 17,868 posts Florida in winter, Black Forest/Germany | If the key is for the same edition (e.g. Home Premium, Ultimate, etc.), then the disk should work. |

| Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, clean install, upgrade disc 15,045 posts CT | DVD's for same edition (except OEM) are all the same. You can use the same DVD to install on as many computers as you like. Each install must have a separate key, however. You may use the same key on a second computer if you remove it from the first. |
