    windows geniune problem

OK i hope someone can help.

Every couple of days when i start my notebook i get the error screen saying that my version of windows is not geniune and i get the option of "get geniune now or remind me later" i click on cancel and everything is fine.
I know my copy is geniune as it was sent to me by the manufacturer of the notebook as the free upgrade program from vista to 7 as i bought the notebook a month before 7 came out.

We have also had this happen on the daughters netbook as well which has a geniune copy of 7 on it.

Can anybody tell me what is going on.?

In order for W7 to be deemed genuine, it must be activated either online or by phone.

    Activate Windows 7 Online
    Activate Windows 7 by Phone

    Hope this helps.

Instead of clicking on cancel when you get that option, click on OK or "Go online to resolve now". Many a times, that solves the problem.

Also, look around this forum. There are numerous threads on this subject.

Try doing it again...see if that clears up your problem... some times this issue crops up and re-activating it will usually fix it...

I spend more and more time resolving problems with windows than actually using it, its starting to get on my nerves.
