    Technet product key numbers


    Do Technet keys still work for format/re-installation and re-activation of Windows 7 even if the subscription has expired?

    Those are regular keys purchased at a discount and work like any other key. Do not expire.

    Remember, however, you cannot access the Technet page, for information.

    Those keys, unless noted as KMS or MAK licenses, are retail, in terms of activation rules, etc.

    Does a renewal bring a new set of keys? It seems there is only a little difference between renewal cost and discounted new subscriptions.

    And the first beta of WHS V2 (Code Name Vail) is currently available on MS Connect. When final, Vail will be on TechNet along with keys.
