    Windows Update not checking automatically

Windows Update is not checking for update as before, even it was checking for microsoft essentials updates too but not now. I have it configure to check automatically but ask me what to download.

Are your sure that you have all the updates and there are no updates available?

Are you manually checking and find updates that your system did not report to you?

If i press check for update it finds for microsoft security essential because all other updates seems to be Up to date, but as Microsoft update their MSE every day windows update should tell me that there is new updates available without me clicking check for updates as it was doing before.

Are your update settings similar to this? Since i do not use MSE, I do not know how the updates for it are supposed to work.

i was checking the settings of Windows Update and neither "Give me updates for microsoft products and check new optical...etc etc" and nor "show me detailed notifications when new microsoft software is available" are there.
